The hike came after a 1.4% drop in March from February. The numbers are from the Monthly Industrial Survey issued this Tuesday (4) by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).<\/p>\n<p>However, output was down 3.9% year-on-year in April, 0.1% in the quarter moving average, 2.7% year-to-date and 1.1% in the 12 months through April.<\/p>\n<p>Month-on-month in April, industrial production increased in three out of four categories, including durable consumer goods.
