{"id":215309,"date":"2019-06-06T14:42:54","date_gmt":"2019-06-06T17:42:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/?p=215309"},"modified":"2019-06-30T17:59:56","modified_gmt":"2019-06-30T20:59:56","slug":"fujairah-sees-hike-in-oil-industry-investments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/fujairah-sees-hike-in-oil-industry-investments\/","title":{"rendered":"Fujairah sees hike in oil industry investments"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/foiz.gov.ae\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fujairah Oil Industry Zone<\/a> (FOIZ) is seeing new investment,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/wam.ae\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Emirates News Agency<\/em> (<em>WAM<\/em>)<\/a>\u00a0reported. FOIZ and the nearby Port of Fujairah have cemented their status as one of the leading oil supply hubs in the world.<\/p>\n<p>Last month,\u00a0Fujairah\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/bpgic.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brooge Petroleum and Gas Investment Company<\/a> and Africa\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sahara-group.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sahara Group<\/a>\u00a0conglomerate unveiled plans to build a 250,000-bpd refinery within the FOIZ. WAM said the unit will be one of the first of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa to comply with the International Maritime Organization to limit Sulphur content in fuel to 0.5%.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month saw the Aramco Trading Company \u2013 an arm of Saudi Aramco \u2013 announce that it has opened an office in the FOIZ. It said the move is part of a worldwide effort by Aramco Trading to branch out into new markets and secure buyers for crude and refined oil from Aramco. The new facility will handle product storage and mixing.<\/p>\n<p><em>WAM<\/em> said 18 companies are active in the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone, including oil and gas companies include the Aegean Oil Terminal Corporation (AOT), Horizon Terminals, Global Terminal Investment (GTI) and Gulf Petrochem. Fujairah is the only emirate in the UAE with access to the Arabian Sea.
