{"id":215864,"date":"2019-06-14T07:00:34","date_gmt":"2019-06-14T10:00:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/?p=215864"},"modified":"2019-06-30T18:35:19","modified_gmt":"2019-06-30T21:35:19","slug":"chambers-schedule-business-events-in-brazil-arab-world","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/chambers-schedule-business-events-in-brazil-arab-world\/","title":{"rendered":"Chambers schedule business events in Brazil, Arab world"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rio de Janeiro \u2013 <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ccab.org.br\/en\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce<\/a><\/strong> president Rubens Hannun was on (13) Tuesday at the 11<sup>th<\/sup> World Chambers Congress in Rio de Janeiro, where the chamber he leads has a stand.<\/p>\n<p>He visited the pavilions of Sharjah, Dubai and Qatar chambers of commerce and invited them to participate in the Brazil-Arab Countries Economic Forum to be held in April 2020.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ll sign a memorandum of understanding in Sharjah soon. We were supposed to sign it today, but [Sharjah] Chamber president couldn\u2019t come,\u201d Hannun explained. Representatives from Sharjah said they intend to undertake a trade mission in Brazil with 15 businessmen later this year, and Hannun offered his assistance to make it happen.<\/p>\n<p>At Qatar\u2019s stand, Hannun talked about the trade mission the Arab Brazilian Chamber will take there in November and asked for suggestions for the agenda.<\/p>\n<p>Hannun also talked to Dubai Chamber CEO and current ICC World Chamber Federation chairman Hamad Buamin. Buamin invited the Arab Brazilian Chamber to participate in the World Chambers Congress to take place in Dubai in February 2021.<\/p>\n<p>In the Arab Brazilian Chamber\u2019s stand, Hannun received a delegation from Oman Chamber of Commerce (OCCI). \u201cWe had a meeting with the Omani delegation at our stand and talked about a business mission that we\u2019ll take there in the second half of 2019, and they said they would send us suggestions for the agenda. They intend to strengthen relations with Brazil and conduct more activities here,\u201d said Hannun, who talked with Oman Chamber Al Batinah chapter president Hamood Al Sa\u2019di and financial and administrative affairs vice-president Rashid Al Musalhi.<\/p>\n<p>Another visitor to the Arab Brazilian Chamber\u2019s stand was the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) vice-chair in Jordan, Zaki Ayoubi. He talked to the commercial manager Daniella Leite about the possibilities to strengthen trade relations with Brazil, business partnerships, as well as measures to increase the number of Brazilian tourists in Jordan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Arab participation is massive in this congress. It even amazes the non-Arab,\u201d said Hannun. \u201cIt\u2019s interesting to see Arab chambers of commerce interconnecting. It is an important action because this is basically a major trade event,\u201d he added. The World Chambers Congress ends this Friday (14).<\/p>\n<p>In Rio de Janeiro, Hannun had another two meetings outside the congress.
