{"id":215871,"date":"2019-06-14T09:00:58","date_gmt":"2019-06-14T12:00:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/?p=215871"},"modified":"2019-06-30T18:35:18","modified_gmt":"2019-06-30T21:35:18","slug":"in-sharjah-90-of-businesses-are-private","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/in-sharjah-90-of-businesses-are-private\/","title":{"rendered":"In Sharjah, 90% of businesses are private"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rio de Janeiro \u2013 Sharjah Chamber of Commerce &amp; Industry economic adviser Omer Ali Salih (pictured, on the right), told ANBA this Thursday (13) that 90% all of the businesses in the are private, including small ones. \u201cThe majority of our companies are private,\u201d he said during the 11<sup>th<\/sup> World Chambers Congress in Rio de Janeiro.<\/p>\n<p>Key industries in Sharjah are manufacturing, petrochemicals, furniture and processed foods.\u201d Some 35% of all factories in the UAE are located in Sharjah,\u201d said Salih.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe provide consulting to small and medium businesses that are looking to export, by offering them facilitation services and having business missions,\u201d he explained. Regarding Brazil, Salih said Sharjah businesses have keen interest in doing business in the country, and that they will have more information available on the scenario now. \u201cBut our biggest issue here is the language barrier. Very few people speak English here,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>This is Sharjah\u2019s eighth time at the World Chambers Congress; the second with its own stand; and the third as the event\u2019s sponsor.
