The season-adjusted Brazilian Central Bank\u2019s Economic Activity Index (IBC-Br) eased by 0.47% month-on-month, the monetary authority reported this Friday (14).<\/p>\n<p>April was the fourth straight month on a downward curve as per revised Central Bank data. Activity was down 0.22%\u00a0in January, 1.04% in February and 0.30% in March. Q1 activity slid by 0.68%.<\/p>\n<p>Year-on-year in April, Brazil\u2019s economy slowed by 0.62%. The 12 months through April saw 0.72% growth.<\/p>\n<p>The IBC-Br is an approximation intended to anticipate economic behavior.
