Refugees in the country hail from Venezuela, Haiti, Angola, Senegal, Syria, Cuba and elsewhere<\/p>\n<p>In both the state and the city of S\u00e3o Paulo, many initiatives are in place to welcome and protect foreigners. One of them is the Secretariat for Justice\u2019s <em>N\u00facleo de Enfrentamento ao Tr\u00e1fico de Pessoas<\/em>, whose job it is to fight human trafficking.
