The event is part of celebrations of the 60<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of Brazil-Jordan diplomatic ties, and of the 35<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of the opening of the Embassy of Jordan in Bras\u00edlia and the Embassy of Brazil in Amman.<\/p>\n<p>Celebrations also include the art show <a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/exposicao-celebra-os-60-anos-das-relacoes-brasil-jordania\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Contemporary Brazilian Art, A Short Perspective<\/em><\/a>, held by the Embassy of Brazil and the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts. The show was slated to end June 27, but got extended through July 7.<\/p>\n<p>The film festival began on Sunday (30) with a screening of The Last Stop (<em>pictured above<\/em>), a Brazilian-Lebanese production telling the story of Tarik, a Lebanese who migrated to Brazil in the 1950s with his brother Karim. The main character is Tony, a son to a French father and a Brazilian mother, who returns to his native countryside Rio Grande do Sul. French star actor Vincent Cassel plays Tony\u2019s father.<\/p>\n<p>The Thursday (4) showing will be <em>Bach in Brazil<\/em>, by Ansgar Ahlers of Germany. It tells the story of German music teacher Marten Brueckling, who travels to Ouro Preto looking for the original of a score written by one of Johann Sebastian Bach\u2019s sons.
