According to figures made public by the National Federation of Motor Vehicle Distributors (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fenabrave.org.br\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fenabrave<\/a>) this Tuesday (2), 1,919,047 units were sold year-to-date through June 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The numbers include automobiles, light commercial vehicles, trucks, buses and motorcycles. June saw 316,475 vehicles sold, up 11.71% from May 2019. Year-on-year, it was a 10% increase.<\/p>\n<p>Fenabrave chairman Alarico Assump\u00e7\u00e3o J\u00fanior imputed negative June results to the fact it had fewer business days than May. \u201cWe had 19 business days in June over 22 in May,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The positive result in the first half, however, is related to a quieter period. \u201cYear-to-date growth reached 13.45%, but in the first half last year we were impacted by the truckers\u2019 strike,\u201d Fenabrave chairman recalled.
