The free concert will take place at the SESC living area.<\/p>\n<p>The family group plays songs from the Middle East and Asia. It consists of Mario Aphonso III, Ian Nain (Aphonso\u2019s son), and Francisco Mehmet (Ian\u2019s cousin). The tree musicians and Eastern music researchers will perform different musical styles, including sounds from Turkey, Iran, Syria, India, and others, using typical instruments. Zikir Trio exists since 2010 and is the oldest group of the Coletivo Tarab, which features other bands &#8211; Yaqin Ensemble, Orkestra Bandida, and TarabJazz.<\/p>\n<p>Mario Aphonso (<em>pictured, C<\/em>) will play the flutes Ney (Turkish), Nay (Arab), Kaval (Mediterranean) and Bansuri (Indian). Ian Nain (<em>picture, R<\/em>) plays Oud (Arab lute), Cura saz (Turkish), \u00c7\u00fcmb\u00fcs (a Turkish type of metal banjo), and \u00c7\u00fcmb\u00fcs saz (Turkish). On percussion, Francisco Mehmet (<em>pictured, L<\/em>) plays the goblet drum (Arab), Riq (type of Arab tambourine), Bendir (Arab-Turkish frame drum), and Tombac (Persian).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Arab repertoire will include Syrian instrumental classical music from the 17th-18th centuries, as well as more dancing Arab folk songs from the 19th-20th century,\u201d Ian Nain told ANBA.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/coletivotarab\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Coletivo Tarab<\/a> is coordinated by the three musicians and is devoted to the study and research of Middle Eastern music, art, poetry and dance.
