S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 The Jumeirah group<\/a>, hotel chain based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, wants the number of Brazilian guests to increase from the 20th<\/sup> to the 15th<\/sup> position in the ranking of countries by the Expo 2020<\/a>, the world exhibition to run from October 2020 to April 2021 in the emirate.<\/p>\n

The statement was made by the hotel chain\u2019s group sales director Vivian Trida during an event to advertise Dubai as an incentive groups, conferences and leisure destination. The encounter with tourism professionals occurred at the hotel Renaissance Hotel in S\u00e3o Paulo this Thursday (4).<\/p>\n

Burj Al Arab, one of the world\u2019s most luxurious and expensive hotels \u2013 and a landmark of the emirate \u2013 belongs to the group Jumeirah, which focus on the luxury market, with 5-stars hotels. Other hotels of the chain in Dubai include Jumeirah Beach Hotel, a resort by the beach, and Jumeirah Emirates Towers, located in Dubai’s business center.<\/p>\n

Besides Trida, the event featured Jumeirah group sales manager Tatiana Issa, Emirates<\/a> Airline sales manager Karin Manheim Lima, and Dubai-based tourism agency Knight Tours<\/a> sales manager Claudia Leite.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith the actions we are doing with Emirates and Knight Tours in Belo Horizonte, Rio de Janeiro and S\u00e3o Paulo, our goal is to put Brazil in the Top 15 of the Jumeirah\u2019s hotels by the Expo 2020. Now, we are at Top 20,\u201d Trida told ANBA.<\/p>\n

The five countries that send the most tourists to the Jumeirah\u2019s hotels in Dubai are China, India, United States, Germany, and UK. In the emirate of Dubai, Brazilians occupy the 25th<\/sup> position in number of tourists.<\/p>\n

The Jumeirah group was founded around 20 years ago and now has 27 hotels in several countries, including nine in Dubai, four in Abu Dhabi, one in Bahrain, one in Kuwait, three in China, three in London, one in Frankfurt, and others, and has expanded mostly around Asia. The Dubai Holding conglomerate owns the Jumeirah group.<\/p>\n

During her presentation, Leite gave options of tours for incentive group, corporative trips, families, tourist groups, and female-only groups, and showed that Dubai always has something new to offer, with attractions set to be ready for the Expo 2020, including Dubai Creek Tower, which will be the world\u2019s highest tower, with a height of 1 kilometer, surpassing Burj Khalifa; Ain Dubai (Dubai Eye), a huge Ferris Wheel with a height of 210 meters at the Bluewaters Island; and the Museum of the Future, at the emirate\u2019s business center. She stressed that Dubai has become a good tourist destination to take kids, with several attractions such as amusement parks and water parks.<\/p>\n

Knight Tours is a middle-sized, locally owned tourism agency, which has operated for more than twenty years in the emirate. Claudia Leite is Brazilian and has lived in Dubai for 12 years.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s estimated the pavilions of Expo 2020 will receive 25 million visits. Brazil will have a pavilion, with a sensory experience in representation of the Amazon Forest. The Emirates offers daily Dubai-bound flights<\/a> leaving S\u00e3o Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.<\/p>\n
