{"id":252179,"date":"2019-07-15T18:46:19","date_gmt":"2019-07-15T21:46:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/?p=252179"},"modified":"2019-07-15T19:13:55","modified_gmt":"2019-07-15T22:13:55","slug":"agribusiness-sales-to-middle-east-soar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/agribusiness-sales-to-middle-east-soar\/","title":{"rendered":"Agribusiness sales to Middle East soar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 The Middle East was a key export destination for Brazil\u2019s agribusiness industry in June and H1 this year, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.agricultura.gov.br\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply<\/a> reported, with June sales grossing USD 642.35 million in June, up 26.4% year-on-year.<\/p>\n<p>Exports picked up the most to Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the UAE, with <a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/beef-exports-from-brazil-to-uae-up-440\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">meats<\/a> leading the way. Exports to Saudi Arabia came out to USD 118.76 million in June, up 38.5%. Egypt purchased USD 118.32 million worth of agribusiness products from Brazil, up 81.7% year-on-year. Sales to the UAE amounted to USD 110 million, up 39.5%.<\/p>\n<p>Year-to-date through June, exports to the Middle East grossed USD 3.94 billion, up 19.8% year-on-year. The top-selling product whose sales climbed the most was beef, followed by poultry.
