{"id":252778,"date":"2019-07-23T14:09:58","date_gmt":"2019-07-23T17:09:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/?p=252778"},"modified":"2019-07-23T14:45:06","modified_gmt":"2019-07-23T17:45:06","slug":"revenue-up-in-june","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/revenue-up-in-june\/","title":{"rendered":"Revenue up in June"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bras\u00edlia &#8211; Federal revenue amounted to BRL 119.946 billion (USD 32,023 billion) in Brazil last June, the <a href=\"https:\/\/receita.economia.gov.br\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Federal Revenue Secretariat<\/a> reported this Tuesday (23). The amount is up 4.68% year-on-year in real terms, and the biggest since 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Over H1, revenue reached BRL 757.595 (USD 202.264 billion), up 1.8% year-on-year in real terms.<\/p>\n<p>The head of the Center for Tax and Customs Studies, Claudemir Malaquias, said the revenue increase in June was driven by the truckers\u2019 strike in June last year. According to the Secretariat, \u201cthe strike negatively impacted the baseline of some taxes, notably taxes that concern goods and services production and trade, downsizing 2018 revenue base.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Malaquias pointed out that June last year saw a \u201cblock in every industry\u2019s output,\u201d which led to a lower revenue. \u201cIn June 2018, all the effects of the truckers\u2019 strike were taken into account. The basis for comparison was quite low,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The year-to-date result, however, was driven by the hike in collection of corporate income taxes <em>Imposto de Renda Pessoa Jur\u00eddica (IRPJ)<\/em> and <em>Contribui\u00e7\u00e3o Social sobre o Lucro L\u00edquido<\/em> (CSLL).
