{"id":252917,"date":"2019-07-24T17:58:15","date_gmt":"2019-07-24T20:58:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/?p=252917"},"modified":"2019-07-25T12:38:53","modified_gmt":"2019-07-25T15:38:53","slug":"gulf-projects-announced-in-h1-amounted-to-usd-125-bn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/gulf-projects-announced-in-h1-amounted-to-usd-125-bn\/","title":{"rendered":"Gulf: projects announced in H1 amounted to USD 125 bn"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>S\u00e3o Paulo &#8211; The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries saw the announcement of USD 125 billion worth of new projects during the first half, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bncnetwork.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BNC<\/a> Construction Intelligence says in its report made public on Tuesday (23).<\/p>\n<p>GCC consists of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Oman. Saudi Arabia comprises half of the total project announcement in the first half.<\/p>\n<p>In the second quarter, project announcements in the Arab Countries amounted to USD 63.5 billion.<\/p>\n<p>These project announcements are part of the estimated 27,000 active projects live in the GCC, as per BNC data. These include projects at different stages, from planning to execution, and <a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/gcc-construction-projects-worth-usd-2-52-trillion\/\">were estimated at USD 2.52 trillion by the research company<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>During the first half of 2019, project owners in the GCC countries have also awarded new construction contracts worth US$49 billion, a 33% jump year-over-year, BNC says.<\/p>\n<p>A total of USD 88.5 billion worth of construction projects were completed in the first half &#8211; USD 46.5 billion being in the second quarter .
