Activity was down 1% from May, in the sharpest drop to date this year. Services were down 3.6% year-on-year in June.<\/p>\n<p>The sector had seen 0.4% growth in April and May combined, but that growth was offset by the slump in June.<\/p>\n<p>So far this year, services have grown by 0.6%, a slightly weaker rate than that of the second half of 2018, during which the sector had picked up by 0.8%. Growth was 0.7% in the 12 months through June.<\/p>\n<p>The IBGE said the 1% drop in services happened in all five activities surveyed.
