On the 6<sup>th<\/sup>, Hawass will deliver a lecture about that period. The 7<sup>th<\/sup> will see <a href=\"https:\/\/inauguracao.amorc.org.br\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>The Golden Boy-King: Tutankhamun<\/em><\/a> museum (<em>pictured above in an artist&#8217;s rendering<\/em>) open to visitors.<\/p>\n<p>A specialist in the pharaoh\u2019s history, Hawass served as consultant and created the concept for the new museum, which is set with Curitiba\u2019s Bosque Rosacruz (the Rosicrucian Garden), c complex devoted to Egyptian history. The area is managed by the Ancient and Mystical Rosicrucian Order (AMORC). Seventy items were brought in straight from Cairo, Egypt for the new venue. Created by Egypt\u2019s Supreme Council of Antiquities, the items are faithful replicas of originals found in the tomb of Tutankhamun\u2019s upon its discovery in 1922.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBasically, the entire collection came from Cairo. The contents, including a video portraying the pharaoh\u2019s mummy with amulets and their purposes, are the outcome of medical research, of theories and facts about the life and death of Tutankhamun, all done with input from Hawass. \u201cEveryone [the museum staff] is really motivated, because the <em>Golden Boy-King: Tutankhamun<\/em> museum is a new way of spreading the word about the history of Ancient Egypt,\u201d said Tedardi.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Palestra<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Aside from attending the museum launch, Zahi Hawass will also deliver an eponymous lecture, September 6, 7 pm at the Rosicrucian Order.
