GDP reached BRL 1.78 trillion (USD 429 billion) in the period. Data was made public this Thursday (29) by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).<\/p>\n<p>GDP climbed by 1% from a year ago, 0.7% year-to-date and 1% in 12 months through June. From Q1 to Q2, the hike was driven by growths of 0.3% in services and 0.7% in industry.
