From Oman, for one, there are ceramic, plastics, food, steel, marble, aluminum, transformers, precast, pipes and fittings, and real estate companies, as well as the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It currently ships product to Iraq, Sudan, Kenya and Ethiopia. \u201cLots of people are asking questions about the products, and we hope to find a partner,\u201d Nageeb told ANBA.<\/p>\n<p>This was just the first day of the Fair, and companies foresee an increase in the number of inquiries going forward. Wherever there\u2019s cars, there needs to be oil,\u201d he argued. And there are lots of cars in Syria. Sayed spoke with four \u201cserious potential clients, which he believes is reasonable for a first day, although he expects an improvement from day two onwards.<\/p>\n<p>Sayed has been attempting to export to Brazil, but he finds the 20% import tax too steep.<\/p>\n<p>Apart from lubricants, the UAE stand features cement, concrete, construction, coffee, sanitaryware, cosmetics, and real estate companies, plus the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce &amp; Industry.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Brazil<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Oman and UAE stands are in Pavilion 10, as is Brazil\u2019s, organized by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ccab.org.br\/en\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce<\/strong><\/a> and the Embassy of Brazil to Damascus.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_255789\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-255789\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/CCAB.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-255789 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/CCAB-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/CCAB-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/CCAB-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/CCAB-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-255789\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Carlos Haddad and T\u00e2mara Machado at the Brazilian stand<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Arab Chamber events coordinator T\u00e2mara Machado said at least five visitors were quite interested in marble and granite from exhibiting company Imetame. She also said she got in touch with about 15 people who were either interested in items like coffee, ores, and stones, or in getting information on Brazil. The stand was also visited by the Brazilian business owner Carlos Haddad.<\/p>\n<p>The Fair opens daily at noon for businesspersons, and at 5 pm for the general public, at which point it becomes a leisure area for young people and families, with amusement rides, a food court, music, and other attractions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>*ANBA is reporting from Damascus at the invitation of Syria\u2019s Ministry of Tourism.
