S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 Taiba Chicken became the first UAE member of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce<\/a><\/strong>. The subscription occurred this Sunday (1) in the Chamber international office in Dubai attended by the Arab Brazilian Chamber president Rubens Hannun, secretary-general Tamer Mansour, head of international offices Rafael Solimeo, and Taiba Chicken strategic advisor Shaya Ali (pictured<\/em>). The Arab Brazilian Chamber launched an Arab corporate membership<\/a> campaign in early August.<\/p>\n

The Dubai-based company<\/a> has operated since 2006 buying poultry products from Russia to resell in the UAE, Gulf and Middle East countries, as well as Africa and Asia. The plan now is buying Brazilian chicken too to sell to these regions. \u201cWe\u2019re very confident in the Arab Brazilian Chamber\u2019s services and expect they will save us some time and help us get trustworthy, long-term trade relationships in Brazil,\u201d the company\u2019s CEO Mohamed Hamwi told ANBA.<\/p>\n

The UAE company is seeking connections to Brazilian chicken small- and medium-sized farms and slaughterhouses to strike long-term deals. \u201cWe look for poultry with or without halal (slaughter according to Muslim precepts) certification to serve our markets\u2019 needs. We intend to buy whole chickens and chicken parts in large volumes to sell to our meat industries, processing industries, and restaurants,\u201d explained the businessman.<\/p>\n

Hamwi believes Brazil has a prominent place among the world\u2019s food and agriculture technology exporters. \u201cBrazilian poultry products have a quality that makes them competitive in the global market due to the fresh corn- and soy-based feed. Moreover, Brazilian poultry taste and tenderness as well as its golden color are due to this fresh feed and make Brazilian chicken products competitive in both price and quality,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The businessman believes that, by becoming an Arab Brazilian Chamber member, they will be able to obtain important information and connections that will help developing and expanding Taiba Chicken market all over the world. \u201cI\u2019d like to thank the Arab Brazilian Chamber for offering its services in Dubai and the GCC for trading companies,\u201d he concluded. GCC is the Gulf Cooperation Council made up by Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, and Qatar.<\/p>\n

Arab Brazilian Chamber president Rubens Hannun commented on the meeting and the new membership. \u201cI\u2019d like to stress that this beginning of the Arab membership has proven the Arab interest in collaborating with the Chamber in order to get to know new Brazilian products, which shows the benefit that establishing this connections and deals may generate for both Brazil and the Arab countries,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

Rafael Solimeo believes that this first UAE membership shows the Arab trust in the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce as the best connection to do business with Brazil, whether it\u2019s for buying or selling products. \u201cIn Taiba Chicken\u2019s case, we\u2019ll present potential business partners and map out which are the compatible companies. We\u2019ll also take them to Brazil in order to visit some potential suppliers,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The Arab Brazilian Chamber has yet other seven Arab members. They include five food companies – two from Egypt, two from Qatar and one from Saudi Arabia \u2013 an Egyptian law firm that operates in Brazil, and a Saudi cosmetics company.<\/p>\n
