Seventeen companies will participate, one more than in the <a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/pre-salt-auction-raises-usd-820-million\/\">4<sup>th<\/sup> Round<\/a> held in June 2018, which held the previous record. The <a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/qatar-petroleums-one-of-the-winners-of-brazils-oil-round\/\">5<sup>th<\/sup> Round<\/a> took place in September last year.<\/p>\n<p>Companies approved to participate in this round includes Petrobras from Brazil and foreign companies such as Shell, BP, Chevron, Petronas, ExxonMobil, Repsol Sinopec, and <a href=\"https:\/\/qp.com.qa\/en\/Pages\/Home.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Qatar Petroleum<\/a> International (<a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/qatar-petroleum-wins-bidding-in-brazil-for-the-fourth-time\/\">QPI<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>The sharing rounds grant the companies oil and gas exploration and production rights in blocks with reserves in the pre-salt layer. The 6<sup>th<\/sup> Round will offer five areas: four in the Santos Basin (Aram, Sudoeste de Sagit\u00e1rio, Cruzeiro do Sul, and Bumerangue) and one in the Campos Basin (Norte de Brava).<\/p>\n<p>Petrobras will act as operator witha\u00a0 minimum interest of 30% in the areas of Aram, Sudoeste de Sagit\u00e1rio, and Norte de Brava.
