The sector is up 0.6% year-to-date in 2-10 and 0.7% in the 12 months through September.<\/p>\n<p>The services grew 0.6% year-on-year in Q3, an improvement over Q2\u2019s 0.1% result.<\/p>\n<p>The IBGE reported increased activity in four out of five activity types. Information and communication services was the only subsector where activity slowed, by 1% in September from August.<\/p>\n<p>Activity picked up by 1.6% in transportation, ancillary services and postal services (<em>pictured, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gru.com.br\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">GRU Airport<\/a> in Guarulhos, S\u00e3o Paulo)<\/em>,\u00a0and by 1.8% in professional, administrative and complementary services. There was a 0.8% increase in services rendered to families, and a 0.5% increase in other services.<\/p>\n<p>Year-on-year in September, services as a whole picked up by 1.4%, with growth in three out of five subsectors.<\/p>\n<p>Here, information and communication services increased by 2.2%; other services increased by 11%; and professional, administrative and complementary services increased by 2.9%.
