\u201cThe genuine nut oil is a great facial hydrating product. Andiroba is great for hydrating the body and pain relief massages. Patau\u00e1 oil is great for the scalp and for growing your eyebrows,\u201d said Amaral. According to him, \u201cif you can\u2019t put it in your mouth, then you can\u2019t put it on your skin.\u201d.<\/p>\n
Amaral said there weren\u2019t any companies in the state of Amazonas that made 100% natural cosmetics. \u201cWe used Amazon products with the best of world technology. Brazil doesn\u2019t produce natural preservatives, so we\u2019ll import from Italy and Germany,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Biozer items get sold to beauticians, pharmacies and spas that work with aromatherapy, as well as via an online store available across Brazil. To cater to Arab markets, Amaral will likely rely on the same strategy. \u201cWe\u2019re aware that Dubai\u2019s pharmacy market is strong, so we\u2019ll use the same sales format we use in Brazil,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Amaral said that although Biozer has been authorized to export since 2017, he wanted to focus on the domestic market for the first two years. The company is in the process of becoming certified to ship product to Europe, and its first sale \u2013 to a Brazilian living in the United States \u2013 in the next few months. Biozer is based in Manaus and has a distribution center in S\u00e3o Paulo.<\/p>\n
The company\u2019s motto is providing health and beauty in a sustainable way. \u201cWhatever doesn\u2019t fit into that is out of our scope. We have utmost respect for nature and the forest. We\u2019ve created a sustainable network with the communities and we have social responsibility. We don\u2019t intend to become too big. Our growth will be organic,\u201d said Amaral.<\/p>\n Andiroba oil is produced in the city of Carauari, and andiroba, copa\u00edba and murumuru get produced in L\u00e1brea \u2013 two Amazon communities that supply the company. \u201cWe work direct with the cooperatives, with no middlemen involved. We\u2019ll give feedback on what needs improving in terms of operations and product quality, and that ensures the possibility of growth. That is our concern when it comes to community development,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n A micro-company, Biozer currently works with two pilot plants with a capacity to put out 88,000 items per month between them. \u201cBut we\u2019re not operating at full capacity right now. We\u2019re using 25% to 30%,\u201d revealed Amaral.
