It\u2019s the third positive rate running, reaching a 2.4% hike in the three months through October. The numbers are from the Monthly Industrial Survey issued this Wednesday (4) by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE).<\/p>\n<p>Year-on-year, output was up 1% in October, 0.1%. Despite these results, industry is down 1.1% year-to-date and 1.3% in the 12 months through October.<\/p>\n<p>Out of the categories, from September to October 2019, the most important positive influences were seen in foodstuffs <em>(pictured above)<\/em>, up 3.4%, and pharmaceuticals (11.2%). Foodstuffs reverted a decline seen in the previous month (-0.3%).
