Only today we met over seventy great connections as well as potential members. Many are interested in the Arab Chamber services and participating in Brazilian trade shows such as Apas and Anufood,” she said.

Representatives of the two companies participating in the stand are also happy, Machado said. “The Arab Chamber participation in the show is very important, Egypt is an extremely important market for Brazil and the demand for Brazilian products is super high,” said the coordinator.

Egypt is the third largest Arab importer of products from Brazil, mostly foodstuffs, only behind Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Year-to-date through November, Egypt purchased USD 1.73 billion in products from Brazil, remaining the most important African country for Brazilian exports. In the food and beverage industry, the North Africa bought USD 2.8 billion from Brazil year-to-date, mainly driven by Egypt at USD 1.265 billion.

Quick facts

Food Africa
December 9-11
11 am-7 pm
38 Corniche al Nil – Alia Tower 15th floor – Maadi
Cairo, Egypt
www.foodafrica-expo.com

Translated by Guilherme Miranda

Press Release

Press Release

The Arab Chamber stand at the trade show in Cairo received over seventy connections in the first day.
