{"id":266149,"date":"2020-01-20T07:00:54","date_gmt":"2020-01-20T10:00:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/?p=266149"},"modified":"2020-01-20T14:55:33","modified_gmt":"2020-01-20T17:55:33","slug":"arab-chamber-returns-to-international-fair-of-khartoum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/arab-chamber-returns-to-international-fair-of-khartoum\/","title":{"rendered":"Arab Chamber returns to International Fair of Khartoum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 The 37<sup>th<\/sup> International Fair of Khartoum, the capital of Sudan will feature the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ccab.org.br\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce<\/a><\/strong>, which will have a stand in the event in partnership with Brazil\u2019s embassy in Khartoum, represented by ambassador Patr\u00edcia Maria Oliveira Lima and the company that issues Halal certifications at Federation of Muslim Associations in Brazil (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fambras.org.br\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fambras Halal<\/a>), a member of the Arab Chamber. This is the eighth time the Chamber participates in the event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur goal is resuming the participation, as Sudan is a very important, strategic country,\u201d said Arab Chamber institutional relations manager Fernanda Baltazar, who\u2019ll be at the show. She believes that the visit will be good to better understand the market, talk with local businessmen and see which potential projects between both countries.<\/p>\n<p>She\u2019ll also have meetings with Sudanese businesspeople and promote the Brazil-Arab Countries Economic Forum, which the Arab Chamber will hold in April in S\u00e3o Paulo. \u201cWe are resuming relations (the Arab Chamber didn\u2019t participate last year). By going there, we\u2019ll make connections with companies and have more qualitative information,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>The manager said that the visitors to the Arab Chamber stand usually ask questions about commodities, foodstuffs, and agricultural machinery. In 2019, Brazil exported USD 17 million in products to Sudan, up 1.3% from a year before, especially in agricultural machinery, fertile eggs, poultry, hair cosmetics, and candies.<\/p>\n<p>The International Fair of Khartoum is an multisectoral event where a wide range of products, services and investment opportunities are offered to boost trade and deals in the country. This year, the event will run from January 20-27, 2020, from 9 am to 10 pm. \u201cIt\u2019s a very large fair that features exhibitions of animals, cars, agricultural machinery, a lot of things,\u201d said Baltazar.<\/p>\n<p>The event is open to the public, and 80% of its visitors are Sudanese, but countries of several regions of the world will participate with stands, including Turkey, Germany, Italy, as well as other African countries. Families and representations of companies visit the trade show, which also features concerts, retail products sales, a food bours, and other attractions.
