Last year, the sate was the top oil and natural gas producer, accounting for 71% of the country\u2019s total volume produced, up 5.3% from a year before, at 2.528 million barrels of oil equivalent per day.<\/p>\n<p>Total production in pre-salt in 2019 was 2.183 million barrels of oil equivalent per day, accounting for 61.3% of national production.
