Imports totalled US$ 11.6 billion last month, growth of 33.2% in the daily average when compared to March 2007 and a reduction of 7.5% in comparison with February.<\/P><br \/> <P>The trade balance surplus was little over US$ 1 billion. The figures were disclosed today (01) by the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade.<\/P><br \/> <P>This year, exports reached US$ 38.7 billion, an increase of 15.6% in the daily average over the first quarter of 2007. Imports totalled US$ 35.9 billion, with growth of 44.1% in the daily average.
