The school stood in the top ten out of the 14 schools that performed in Anhembi Sambadrome and took over 2,000 members to the runway. The <em>enredo<\/em> (plot-theme) was \u201cMarhaba Lubn\u00e3n,\u201d which is Arab for \u201cHello, Lebanon!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The school paraded on the dawn of Saturday. Imp\u00e9rio de Casa Verde\u2019s final score was 269.2. The winning school, \u00c1guia de Ouro, received 269.9. Imp\u00e9rio de Casa Verde received a perfect score in several requisites such as <em>enredo<\/em>, <em>samba-enredo<\/em> (theme-song), hamony, <em>mestre-sala<\/em> and <em>porta-bandeira<\/em>, and drumming wing.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_268269\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-268269\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/carnavallibano2.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-268269 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/carnavallibano2-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/carnavallibano2-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/carnavallibano2-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/carnavallibano2-1024x683.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-268269\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>Lebanese immigrants on the samba avenue<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Dressed in gold, blue and pink, the queen of the drums section was Valeska Reis, who has a long history parading in S\u00e3o Paulo\u2019s Carnaval. The school took a lot of blue and green, a reference to the Mediterranean Sea, to the Sambadrome, and had a float full of sea creatures and many fantasies with this topic.<\/p>\n<p>Imp\u00e9rio de Casa Verde presented floats in honor of the Lebanese markets \u2013 called souks in the Arab countries \u2013 and the Beaufort Castle in South Lebanon. One wing was composed of Lebanese. The school also brought the Phoenician alphabet, spaces showing the Phoenicians, Assyrians, and other influences of the country\u2019s history, and characters such as the guardians of the Lebanese ancestry. A car with tigers and other elements illustrated Brazil-Lebanon ties and relations.<\/p>\n<p>In early 2019, the school\u2019s <em>carnavalesco<\/em> (carnaval director) Fl\u00e1vio Campello was in Lebanon researching to develop the <em>enredo<\/em>. The school gave a briefing to songwriters to compose, and twelve sambas were entered.
