Year-to-date through April, Brazil exported 1.36 million tonnes of raw and processed poultry, from 1.29 million a year ago.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAside from the expected hike in sales to China, we saw a significant increase in exports to destinations in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. The industry is committed to keep the exports flow during this period of pandemic, strengthening its support for the food security of our partner nations,\u201d ABPA chairman Francisco Turra was quoted as saying in a press release.<\/p>\n<p>But April alone saw a decrease in poultry exports from Brazil, which were down by 4.7% in volume, to 343,300 tonnes.
