The donation was delivered by Arab Chamber director Claudia Yazigi Haddad, alongside representatives of Esporte Clube S\u00edrio philanthropy department S\u00edrio do Bem, including director Rita de C\u00e1ssia.<\/p>\n<p>The action is part of an Arab Chamber solidarity campaign created to support hospitals through the Covid-19 pandemic that saw 30,000 coverings, 5,700 pillowcases and 1,250 liters of hand sanitizer donated by Santa Marcelina Hospital in Itaquera, S\u00e3o Paulo last month. Both the hospitals treat public health system Sistema \u00danico de Sa\u00fade (SUS) patients.<\/p>\n<p>Last April 20, the Arab Chamber launched a <a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/arab-chamber-launches-campaign-for-donations-against-covid\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">crowdfunding effort<\/a> designed to raise BRL 80,000 in donations from member companies, Brazilian and Arab enterprises, religious institutions, meat packers, certifier companies, and regular people.
