The speaker is Ahmad Serrieh, director general of the Department of Antiques and Museums of Syria and member of the board of the Arab-Syrian Cultural Centre, in S\u00e3o Paulo.<\/P><br \/> <P>Syria was the scenery for several human migratory movements and the crib for several large civilizations, like the Babylonian, Phoenician and Arab. The first alphabets were discovered in the country, recording musical notes and mythological poems.<\/P><br \/> <P>Serrieh is graduated in archaeology and post-graduated in Ancient History of the Middle East and of the Babylonian Civilization from the University of Damascus, in Syria. He is also a master and has a PhD from the Archaeology University of Warsaw, in Poland, having been a professor in the Archaeology Department.
