The funds in S\u00e3o Paulo\u00a0will go out to public health, social and scientific support actions, including construction of perennial modular hospitals, purchase of personal protective equipment, health equipment, food kits, and cleaning kits.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have a history of commitment to Brazil that goes back over 65 years. We remain completely dedicated to Brazil and Brazilians in fighting this pandemic,\u201d JBS and Seara chair Wesley Batista Filho was quoted as saying. According to him, the donation will be supported by consulting committees comprising independent members to ensure optimal project rollout. Auditing will be provided by consulting firm Grant Thornton, at no charge.<\/p>\n<p>Across Brazil, the BRL 400 million will be allocated to 17 states and 162 cities. Apart from public sector partnerships, the plan includes donations to non-profit organizations that work with poor people, and to research and technology entities focusing on healthcare.
