In Egypt, for one, hotels are told to put in place coronavirus prevention measures in reopening. The administration said that as of May 15, approved hotels will be allowed to take in local guests up to 25% of capacity.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_273512\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-273512\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/5202015234342415.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-273512 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/5202015234342415-300x175.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"175\" srcset=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/5202015234342415-300x175.jpg 300w, https:\/\/anba.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/5202015234342415.jpg 618w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-273512\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Egypt Tourism and Antiquities minister and South Sinai governor inspecting Sharm El Sheikh hotels<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sis.gov.eg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Egyptian government\u2019s website<\/a> quoted Tourism and Antiquities minister Khaled El Anani as saying the resumption of work at hotels is linked to low Covid-19 infection rates and the industry\u2019s pledge to embrace prevention. According to Anani, 10 out of 173 hotels which applied to reopen have been authorized, after undergoing technical scrutiny. The minister said new measures will be put in place concerning restaurants and carrying guests\u2019 luggage, among other things.<\/p>\n<p>Hotels will be required to disinfect luggage and all areas and to take guests\u2019 temperatures.<\/p>\n<p>The UAE have announced a two-phase reopening strategy underpinned by a USD 79 billion stimulus plan.<\/p>\n<p>Some Dubai restaurants reopened in late April after a near-monthlong lockdown. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arabianbusiness.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Arabian Business<\/em><\/a> reported that three Jumeirah Group enterprises went back in business on April 24 and 25: Kayto, Rockfish, and Shimmers \u2013 in Jumeirah Al Naseem and Mina A\u2019Salaam.<\/p>\n<p>Dubai malls (<em>pictured at the top of this page<\/em>) including the Dubai Outlet Mall also reopened in late April, after complying with sterilization and disinfection norms. According to <em>Arabian Business<\/em>, outlets are operating at 30% maximum capacity and observing social distancing rules.<\/p>\n<p>In Algeria, several retail industry segments are back to work. Official news outlet <em>Alg\u00e9rie Presse Service<\/em> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.aps.dz\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>APS<\/em>)<\/a> quoted\u00a0Finance minister Abderrahmane Raouia as saying this Tuesday (19) that new automobile imports will resume with no maximum quotas for resellers, as per an amendment to the 2020 finance bill.<\/p>\n<p>Saudi wholesalers and retailers are open since April 29, state-run news agency <em>SPA<\/em> said. They were originally meant to close again on May 13, but an extension is currently in place.
