The Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA) said 399,400 tons of poultry products got shipped, up 4.5% from May 2019, with revenue sliding 17.3% to 546.3 million.<\/p>\n<p>Year-to-date through May saw 1.7 million tons shipped, up 1.7% from a year ago, while revenue was down 3.7% to USD 2.6 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Six out of the top 15 biggest destinations for Brazilian poultry products are Arab countries. China was the biggest importer, at 289,600 tons through May. Japan ranked second at 176,300 tons, followed by Saudi Arabia 176,200 tons and the UAE at 136,600 tons.<\/p>\n<p>Kuwait placed eighth at 55,000 tons; Yemen placed 11<sup>th<\/sup> at 44,300 tons; Qatar was 13<sup>th<\/sup> at 36,400 tons; and Libya ranked 15th at 31,600 tons of poultry imported from Brazil.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChina further cemented its status as the biggest importer of poultry and pork, and it was one of the drivers of our good results in exports.
