S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 Risk investigation of export financial operations and payment security will be addressed in an online conference that the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce<\/strong> will host on Wednesday (8) at 9 am (BRT). The webinar \u201cExports security: Due Diligence and Banking Security\u201d will feature specialists from Brazil and elsewhere and simultaneous interpretation into Portuguese and English. Registration<\/a> is open and the webinar is free.<\/p>\n

According to Arab Chamber commercial manager Daniella Leite, the organization saw concern and search for information about the topic when talking with its member companies. \u201cWe saw that both sides feel insecure about the negotiation \u2013 both the exporter, who is afraid of sending a cargo and not receiving the money, and the importer, who is afraid of sending the money and not receiving the cargo,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n

One focus will be due diligence, which is the investigation carried out to identify the risks of a deal. Law firms will address the subject in the webinar, giving details on types of due diligence, according to the needs of the company, from the basic to the most thorough, expensive analysis, and the most relevant documents and information for foreign trade transactions.<\/p>\n

Completing the topic, representatives from banks will address possible payment methods in exports and imports, the most used ones in Brazil and the Arab countries, costs involved, agility and security of each type of operation, and what the companies must consider when making a choice in the matter.<\/p>\n

Both in due diligence and banking security, the Brazil and the Arab scenarios will be addressed. Speakers will be law firm Al Dahbashi Gray partner Josh Kemp of the United Emirates, and Souto Correa Advogados conflict resolution partner Raphael Jad\u00e3o and corporate partner Karina Yunan Saad of Brazil.<\/p>\n

Speakers will also include National Bank of Fujairah head of commercial services Madhavan Rajagopalan of the UAE and bank BS2 head of International Relations Gustavo Pieratti of Brazil. Arab Chamber Foreign Trade vice president Ruy Carlos Cury, Investment director Daniel Hannun and Commercial manager Daniella Leite will be featured.<\/p>\n

This webinar is part of a series of online meetings that the Arab Chamber has hosted since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic to discuss relevant issues regarding business between Brazilian and Arab companies and Brazil-Arab relations. This will be the tenth conference hosted by the organization.<\/p>\n
