According to Ipea, the result shows an improvement in investment compared with the two preceding months, which had seen numbers go down as a result of the crisis triggered by the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>Gross fixed capital formation (GFCF) concerns investment in production by resident enterprises. Investment in machinery and equipment was up 68.7% in May from April. Domestic production of machinery and equipment was up 145.6%.
