S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 A new way of doing business based on minimal client-purveyor contact is coming up amid the Covid-19 pandemic. This will be the topic of an Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce<\/strong> (ABCC) webinar next Wednesday (15) from 9 am to 11 am. The online event was organized by the ABCC women\u2019s committee, which will be officially launched on the occasion. It will feature executives from Brazil and the Arab countries, with simultaneous interpretation available into English and Brazilian Portuguese.<\/p>\n

Yomna El Sheridy will be speaking from Egypt<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The new way of life forcefully ushered in by the new coronavirus is changing the way businesses relate to clients and suppliers alike. The webinar is intended to help these businesses find ways to adapt to this new reality, which requires putting in place policies to keep people safe.<\/p>\n

Natalia Klafke of Radix will be featured<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

\u201cThis is how we live now. When we go to a supermarket we avoid contact. We are avoiding going out, and so we don\u2019t come into contact with people that much. Our work has become decentralized, with everyone in their own homes. This is how people are living now, and it will have a very great impact on business,\u201d said ABCC women\u2019s committee president Alessandra Frisso.<\/p>\n

She believes this will be a big lesson for businesses. \u201cEnterprises will need to factor in the health of their employees and their clients,\u201d she argues. Physical and mental health will need to be part of corporate strategies,\u201d according to Alessandra, who\u2019s the director of research institute H2R \u2013 an ABCC member company.<\/p>\n

Sarah Ayed M. Al Ayed will be speaking from Saudi Arabia<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Alessandra believes women will be the great catalysts of the low-touch economy. The webinar will feature all-female speakers. The idea is to have them share what they have learned about doing business in times of pandemic \u2013 including what isn\u2019t working out. \u201cThis is a time in which getting things wrong and then learning and relearning needs to happen really fast. This is what we will bring to the table, we\u2019re going to share what we have learned,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n

The webinar will feature Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry board member Sarah Ayed M. Al Ayed, of Saudi Arabia, and Special Foods director and CEO and Business Women of Egypt 21 president Yomna El Sheridy, of Egypt. Featured speakers from Brazil will be Radix Engenharia e Software general manager Natalia Klafke and Paypal Brasil senior director of global customer services and site leader Ana Paula Kagueyama (pictured at the top of this story<\/em>).<\/p>\n

The webinar will be kicked off by ABCC president Rubens Hannun, with moderation by ABCC commercial manager Daniella Leite. Also to be featured are the directors of the WAHI \u2013 Arab Chamber Women\u2019s Committee: Claudia Yazigi Haddad, Janine Bezerra de Menezes, Silvia Antibas and Alessandra Frisso.
