The airline did not stop flying amid the pandemic. It did, however, bring down frequency to five flights a week.<\/p>\n<p>The Arab carrier is taking steps to protect passengers and crews, such as online check-ins and distancing during boarding. Personal protective kits containing facemasks, gloves and sanitizer are supplied to all passengers, who are advised to keep their facemasks on at all times until deplaning. The aircraft has 46 business class seats and 281 economy class ones.<\/p>\n<p>June saw the airline complete its tenth year of operation in South America. It has flown over a million passengers into S\u00e3o Paulo. Qatar Airways also flies to Buenos Aires, Argentina.<\/p>\n<p>Qatar Airways\u2019 senior VP for the Americas, Eric Odone, was quoted last month as saying that the A350-1000 flying the S\u00e3o Paulo route adds \u201cinnovation, luxury and options to business and leisure travelers in South America.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Qatar had 107,037 coronavirus cases and 159 deaths as per World Health Organization (WHO) numbers.
