{"id":279328,"date":"2020-08-27T16:34:12","date_gmt":"2020-08-27T19:34:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/?p=279328"},"modified":"2020-08-27T16:34:12","modified_gmt":"2020-08-27T19:34:12","slug":"egypt-obtained-over-usd-500-mn-for-health-sector","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/egypt-obtained-over-usd-500-mn-for-health-sector\/","title":{"rendered":"Egypt obtained over USD 500 mn for health sector"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>S\u00e3o Paulo &#8211; Egypt\u2019s Ministry of International Cooperation managed to secure USD 500 million in finances over the past eight months from international financial institutions and countries in order to support the healthcare sector amid the COVID-19 crisis, Egyptian newspaper <a href=\"http:\/\/english.ahram.org.eg\/Index.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Al Ahram<\/a> reported based on a statement made public by the ministry.<\/p>\n<p>The finances were directed towards the provision of personal protective equipment, supplies for medical teams and hospitals, strengthening the capacity of the Egyptian Red Crescent, training medical personnel, and improving public awareness of the crisis.<\/p>\n<p>Minister of International Cooperation Rania Al-Mashat (<em>pictured above<\/em>) stated that these efforts came as a result of the strategy New Global Partnership Narrative that the ministry has adopted since the onset of the crisis to prioritize cooperation for the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
