Cine \u00c1frica is a project from <a href=\"http:\/\/mostradecinemasafricanos.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Mostra de Cinemas Africanos<\/em><\/a> (the Brazil African Film Festival), hosted by SESC S\u00e3o Paulo with support from the <strong>Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce<\/strong> (ABCC).<\/p>\n<p>The festival opener will be \u201cBorders,\u201d a drama directed by Apolline Traor\u00e9 (91 min, Burkina Faso, 2017). <em>Pictured above is a still from the movie<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Two of the feature films in the festival are Arab. The comedy \u201caKasha\u201d is the first fiction feature from Sudan\u2019s Hajooj Kuka (78 min, 2019), showing for the first time in Brazil on September 24. \u201cPoisonous Roses,\u201d a drama by Egypt\u2019s Fawzi Saleh (70 min, 2018), will show during the week of October 15. The other featured countries are Cameroon, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Kenya, and Senegal.<\/p>\n<p>One film will be made available every Thursday until December 2 on the <a href=\"https:\/\/sesc.digital\/colecao\/53135\/cine-africa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cinema em Casa com Sesc<\/a> platform.
