{"id":282685,"date":"2020-10-21T13:17:55","date_gmt":"2020-10-21T16:17:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/?p=282685"},"modified":"2020-10-22T14:01:51","modified_gmt":"2020-10-22T17:01:51","slug":"arab-chamber-announces-halal-brazil-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/arab-chamber-announces-halal-brazil-project\/","title":{"rendered":"Arab Chamber announces Halal Brazil project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>S\u00e3o Paulo &#8211; The <strong>Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce<\/strong> (ABCC) presented on Wednesday (21) the &#8220;Halal Brasil&#8221; project, which aims to spread and establish the image of Brazilian-made halal goods as the best in the world. The idea was announced on the third day of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forumcamaraarabe.com.br\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Economic Forum <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.forumcamaraarabe.com.br\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Brazil &amp; Arab Countries<\/a>, being hosted online by the ABCC in partnership with the Union of Arab Chambers and the Arab League. Halal products are those manufactured according to Islamic precepts.<\/p>\n<p>ABCC president Rubens Hannun secretary-general Tamer Mansour presented the project alongside the heads of certifier organizations that will be partners in the project: Mohamed Zoghbi, of Fambras Halal, Ali Saif, of Cdial Halal, Chaiboun Darwiche, of SIIL Halal, and Nasser Khazraji, of Alimentos Halal.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Brazil has expertise, and we have to make it known&#8221; Hannun said. &#8220;Halal is a concept and a lifestyle these days. Regardless of religion, those who trust halal will buy halal,&#8221; Mansour said, emphasizing that project is intended to make Brazilian halal into a brand, and ultimately present it to the world as a reliable product.<\/p>\n<p>Hannun said that a research effort carried out by the ABCC during the pandemic has shown that halal certification has become more important since the emergence of Covid-19. &#8220;Halal is going to other markets, not only Arab and Muslim ones, because it guarantees quality, governance and respect,&#8221; he said.
