{"id":282779,"date":"2020-10-21T17:38:06","date_gmt":"2020-10-21T20:38:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/?p=282779"},"modified":"2020-10-22T14:00:26","modified_gmt":"2020-10-22T17:00:26","slug":"arab-chambers-planning-to-integrate-projects","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/arab-chambers-planning-to-integrate-projects\/","title":{"rendered":"Arab Chambers planning to integrate projects"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 There is potential to be tapped into in Brazilian-Arab trade, and that may happen in the years ahead with the help of chambers of commerce. This Wednesday (21), Union of Chambers of Commerce advisor Sara El Gazzar, Arab-Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce secretary-general Qaisar Hijazi, and Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) secretary-general Tamer Mansour discuss the role of the organizations they represent in encouraging projects. The panel was part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forumcamaraarabe.com.br\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Economic Forum Brazil &amp; Arab Countries<\/a>, hosted by the ABCC, and it was moderated by ABCC board member Mohamed Abdouni.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Union of Arab Chambers has multiple efforts underway to support production chains in Arab Countries,\u201d said El Gazzar. \u201cOne effort involves supporting small and medium businesses through training, technical support, funding, and innovation towards food security. Another effort involves digitization, in tandem with the Union of Arab Banks, to enable safer transactions and a digital economy. We are also working with platforms to match supply and demand, and relying on databanks to facilitate trade.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hijazi stressed the need for chambers to work together to address shared challenges. \u201cArab chambers in Brazil, Belgium and everywhere are go-betweens connecting all parties to determine which technologies are required. The new policy, when it comes to agriculture, is sustainable agriculture.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mansour also stressed the need for tandem work towards shared goals. He said that a direct shipping lane to link up Brazil and the Arab countries is in order.
