Bilateral trade, which is the sum of foreign sales and purchases, totalled US$ 8.302 billion. The figures were disclosed today (25) by the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade.<\/p>\n<p> So far this month, Brazilian exports reached US$ 14.924 billion, with a daily average of US$ 932.8 million, representing growth of 42.1% over the daily average recorded in August last year, and of 4.9% in comparison with July 2008.<\/p>\n<p> Imports in August totalled US$ 13.645 billion, with a daily average of US$ 852.8 million, growth of 69.7% in comparison with August 2007 and of 14.4% over July this year. The balance of trade this month shows a surplus of US$ 1.279 billion.<\/p>\n<p> In the accumulated result for the year, exports reached US$ 126.022 billion and imports, US$ 110.09 billion.
