The Brazilian students\u2019 Team Mau\u00e1 is up against graduate and postgraduate students from renowned universities around the world. <em>Pictured above is Team Mau\u00e1 during an online meeting<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The contest entails a technical and financial proposal for development of a subsurface oil resource with zero net carbon emissions to underscore the oil industry\u2019s commitment to society and the environment. The UFF team will compete in the finals remotely on November 9.<\/p>\n<p>Last year saw Team Mau\u00e1 focus on innovation. During the early stages of the contest this year, Team Mau\u00e1\u2019s work was hailed by organizers as the \u201cmost holistic and creative solution.\u201d Team members are Oil Engineering students Clara Natalino, Higor Esmeraldo, Luiz Felipe Ribeiro and Marco Gemaque, and Geophysics student Davy Brand\u00e3o.
