S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 UAE-based Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (KIZAD) engaged with investors and Brazilian and international companies last month. The meetings took place during the Economic Forum<\/a> Brazil & Arab Countries hosted by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce<\/strong> (ABCC). According to KIZAD director of commercial activities Khalid Al Marzooqi, the event provided an ideal platform for businesses and free zones to share insights and discussions to reimagine the future together in the coming years. \u201cWe are eager to maintain open, continuous channels of communication with businesses from Brazil so we can explore the prospect of unlimited possibilities,\u201d he told ANBA.<\/p>\n

KIZAD was one sponsor of the forum, which took place online in October, reaching people from 61 different countries. In addition to participating in the debates, the company also had an e-booth at the online trade show that ran in parallel to the event and made new connections. \u201cWe have engaged with various potential investors with ambitious global outlooks who showed great interest in exploring and discovering new and exciting opportunities in KIZAD thanks to its proximity to key markets, advanced infrastructure and its stable business environment,\u201d Al Marzooqi said, pointing out that future partnerships will be communicated in due course.<\/p>\n

For the free zone director, the digital format made it easy to establish new partnerships. \u201cDigital communication offers endless opportunities to transform how we live and, indeed, how we conduct business. Harnessing the digital revolution in the age of COVID-19 has enabled us to persevere on communicating successfully and maintain business continuity despite the tremendous challenges that have beset the world,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

But Al Marzooqi added there are still benefits to face-to-face communication that are not surpassed via digital tools. \u201cDespite digital\u2019s tremendous speed and cost efficiency, there still is a limit to the depth of human connection that can be achieved within the virtual world,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n

The KIZAD director reiterated the company is excited in following up on the talks started during the Brazilian event that connected Brazilians and Arabs. \u201cWe are ready to fully support them once they greenlight their operations at Abu Dhabi,\u201d he said. There are more than 400 million consumers in the Middle East and Africa, where KIZAD operates. The industrial zone is now home of national and foreign companies from all sectors, including Brazilian food giant BRF.<\/p>\n
