The information was made public by the Embassy of Syria in Bras\u00edlia this Monday (9), quoting the Public Establishment for Electricity Generation (<a href=\"http:\/\/peeg.gov.sy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">PEEG<\/a>). <em>Pictured above, workers handling a gas turbine in Homs, Syria<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The PEEG said it needs third parties to design, manufacture, transport, and carry out construction, as well as supply machinery and tools for a wind farm. The wind farm tender concerns the Jandar area, in the city of Homs. The farm is expected to put out 10 megawatts.<\/p>\n<p>The state-run utility also floated a tender to purchase a 30-megawatt gas turbine for the city of Aleppo. The turbine will be primarily natural gas-fueled, with distilled oil as a backup.<\/p>\n<p>Bids for both tenders are due by January 20, 2021. Interested parties are advised to reach out to the PEEG office.
