S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 Anorka Food Industries, which is part of the Hamwi<\/a>\u00a0 conglomerate, in the United Arab Emirates, wants to deal with new coffee farms from Brazil, the company\u2019s chairman Bilal Al Hamwi told ANBA. Anorka already imports coffee from Brazil to process in its factories and is becoming a member of the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce<\/strong> (ABCC).<\/p>\n

According to Hamwi, 70% of the coffee beans currently imported by Anorka are from Brazil. \u201cWe\u2019re willing to collaborate with the ABCC to deal with new farms in Brazil,\u201d he said. The executive added that Brazilian coffee is unique with special characteristic that put it among world\u2019s best in terms of quality and quantity.<\/p>\n

The company produces several coffee brands \u2013 including Hamwi Caf\u00e9, Unospresso, and Uno Caf\u00e9 \u2013 and several types of coffee, from instant to ground and Turkish coffee, as well as iced beverages. The executive told ANBA the company aims at producing all types of coffee within its factories, so that it has an integrated system in other to be in the first place in the sector.<\/p>\n

The chairman said that Anorka\u2019s Research and Development department keeps prospecting the highest quality. He says the company applies the highest norms of food safety and quality management system and always strives to develop in food technology to foster innovation.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince our factory in Dubai started operating, we worked to implement the world\u2019s latest food technology innovation,\u201d he said, adding that it is then transferred to its factories in other countries.<\/p>\n

Anorka\u2019s plant in Dubai Industrial City was visited last week by Brazil\u2019s ambassador in the UAE, Fernando Igreja, ABCC Dubai international office head Rafael Solimeo, Dubai Industrial City managing director Saud Abu Al Shawareb, and Dubai Exports specialist Zilda Rosa.<\/p>\n

The executive thanked the ambassador for the visit and stressed the company\u2019s partnership with Dubai Industrial City. He said that during the visit he presented its strategic vision to increase the investment in coffee production. Hamwi stressed the importance of the coffee and the continued demand increasement over the years.<\/p>\n
