The webinar is free of charge and simultaneous interpretation into English and Brazilian Portuguese will be available. <em>Pictured above is a refrigerated fruit and vegetable warehouse <\/em><em>in Dubai, UAE.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Speakers in the event will be Abia board chair Grazielle Parenti; UAE consulting firm Soma Mater partner Majid Al Qasimi; the CEO of Qatar\u2019s Dima Consult, Luana Ozemela of Brazil; and ABCC Dubai office head Rafael Solimeo. The ABCC\u2019s president Rubens Hannun will kick off the event. Its secretary-general Tamer Mansour will wrap up the proceedings, and its Institutional Relations manager Fernanda Baltazar will be the moderator.<\/p>\n<p>Parenti will discuss the business potential of Arab markets for the food industry. Al Qasimi will go over post-Covid-19 food security in the Arab Gulf. Ozemela will speak on the current situation in Qatar and opportunities available in the lead-up to the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Solimeo will present opportunities for Brazil\u2019s food industry in the Arab countries. The event will end with a Q&amp;A session.<\/p>\n<p>Arab countries are rolling out projects designed to diversify their economies away from the oil industry. They are investing in ensuring food security for their populations and working to develop domestic agribusiness. Over the past decade, Brazil cemented its status as the premier source of food items for Arab countries.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the pandemic, food and beverage exports from Brazil to the Arab world were up 2.84% in 2020 from 2019 to USD 7.83 billion.
