S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 Renault achieved record sales in Brazil in September. A total of 12,528 vehicles were sold, representing growth of 81% in comparison with the same month last year. According to the company, its market share was 5%. In all, 286,686 new vehicles were sold in the country in September, growth of 31.7%, according to figures supplied by the National Association of Vehicle Manufacturers (Anfavea).<\/p>\n

Another French carmaker operating in the country, Peugeot Citro\u00ebn, sold 117,291 automobiles and light commercial vehicles from January to September, growth of 32.7% compared with the first nine months of 2007. The total is a record high for the period, according to the company.<\/p>\n
