Experts from both countries will discuss the Brazilian market for citrus, garlic, grapes, dates, herbs and spices.<\/p>\n<p>The event is an effort to create new sales opportunities for Egyptian exporters. The Arab country has been in a free trade agreement with the Mercosur since 2017, and sales of many of its products to Brazil have been cleared recently through the issuance food safety certificates, including for citrus fruits \u2013 these certificates are a requirement in order for food to be exported.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Here\u2019s more on the <a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/experts-give-positive-review-of-mercosur-egypt-agreement\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Egypt-Mercosur agreement<\/a><\/li>\n<li>And on <a href=\"https:\/\/anba.com.br\/en\/egyptian-company-ships-citrus-fruits-to-brazil\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">citrus exports to Brazil<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Industry director-general on Bilateral Trade Agreements Michael Gamal Kaddes will discuss the Egypt-Mercosur agreement and its provisions when it comes to agriculture. Nashwa Salah, of the Egyptian Commercial Service (ECS), who\u2019s based in Brazil, will go over imports and the market for fresh produce in Brazil. <strong>Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce<\/strong> (ABCC) secretary-general Tamer Mansour will address existing opportunities in food sales from Egypt to Brazil.<\/p>\n<p>Brazil\u2019s agricultural attach\u00e9 to Cairo, Cesar Simas Teles, will cover the evolution of Egyptian fresh produce exports. Nader Hamdy, of Egypt\u2019s Central Administration of Plant Quarantine, will \u00a0cover the technical requirements for the export to Brazil of items such as garlic, grapes, citrus and others. The event will open with AEC chairman Abdel Hamid Demerdash, and the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs\u2019 deputy assistant minister for Latin America, Ashraf Monir and the Ministry\u2019s Latin America Department head Ahmed Hosny.<\/p>\n<p>The webinar \u201cHow to Export to Brazil\u201d will run from 1:30 pm to 4 pm, Cairo time, and 8:30 am to 11 am, Bras\u00edlia time, free of charge. Some panelists will speak English, and most will speak Arabic.
