The event will be hosted by the Brazil-Lebanon Cultural Center and by the Middle East Studies and Research Group (Gepom, in the Portuguese acronym), with Gepom researcher and cofounder Muna Omran as a speaker.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting will take place at 7 pm, Beirut, Lebanon time (1 pm, Bras\u00edlia, Brazil time). Registration is available free of charge. English will be spoken, with no translation available. The Brazil-Lebanon Cultural Center is the cultural arm of the Embassy of Brazil in Beirut.<\/p>\n<p>Omran will share her pioneering work on how seminal Brazilian writers have described Arab immigrants. She is a professor of postgraduate studies at the Fluminense Federal University (UFF), and a member of the research group in Contemporary History at the Maranh\u00e3o State University (Uema).
